Project Manager

DriSteem designs and manufactures humidification, water treatment and evaporative cooling systems to meet the unique requirements of health care, industrial, process-critical, commercial, and residential applications worldwide. DriSteem currently has an opening for a Project Manager.  This role leads and manages important internal projects focusing on schedule building, execution, and schedule attainment; this includes managing stakeholder expectations on project scope, deliverables, timing, and resource management.  This hands-on tactical role drives extensive cross-functional coordination and is responsible for identifying schedule risk across multiple projects.  Projects will typically be related to product development, product updates, and related investigations. This person must be highly organized, skilled negotiators with possess an understanding of resource allocation best practices and experience in conflict management.  This role This position reports to the Director of Marketing.

 

Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional project teams to successfully complete projects according to priority working collaboratively from project chartering to formal project closing.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, business, technical, and manufacturing management, and project team members to refine the project scope, set milestones/deliverables, define the project plan, and build a working schedule.
  • Champion DriSteem’s project management software and processes. This includes training others on how to use these tools and ensuring active use by all team members.
  • Ensure that all relevant departments and disciplines are adequately represented, informed, and engaged throughout the project life cycle.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and execute project communication plans to ensure ongoing project support/alignment.
  • Coach project team members through risk mitigation and trade-offs using an understanding of the project triple constraint (Scope/Cost/Time) to manage project timeline, scope, and resourcing.
  • Identify project risks, implement risk mitigation strategies, and communicate status to project and management teams to increase the probability of a successful project outcome.
  • Monitor resources across all areas of the project, to achieve timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Schedule team meetings and special working sessions as needed in support of maintaining project momentum.
  • Understand the project budget in-depth and assist with reporting on and managing to the approved project budget.
  • Provide regular reports and communication across functions regarding all aspects of project status including progress, budget, schedule, risks, etc… and alert project champions and sponsors to relevant issues/deviations.
  • Maintain organization and accuracy of DriSteem project management software and documentation structure.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of project management related processes.

    Experience

  • Minimum 3 years relevant project management experience with manufactured products.
  • Project schedule building experience is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with basic project management training.
  • Familiarity with product development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Computer knowledge must include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Software.
  • Project management software (Zoho or other platforms) experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in an equipment-manufacturing environment and Lean highly advantageous.
