DriSteem Case Study on Park Printing in Minneapolis
Eden Prairie, MN – March 11, 2022 – DRI-STEEM Corporation (DriSteem), the leading manufacturer of humidification, evaporative cooling, and water treatment products, announced today the release of its latest case study involving Park Printing. The Minneapolis-based commercial print company needed to increase RO water volume critical to maintaining high quality in its printing process.
Each geographical area holds its own unique needs and problems. For Park Printing, a Minnesota-based company, the cold tap water temperature had forced the addition of a 50-gallon electric water heater. Putting in a new DriSteem RO water treatment system delivered the high permeate flow Park Printing needed even with cold water – which means the water heater and its associated expense is no longer needed
DriSteem recommended their Hydrotrue® water pretreatment and a 400 series RO system for the facility, which would use the water in support of printing production. DriSteem rates RO system permeate flow at 50-degrees, which is much closer to the typical incoming water temperature than the 77-degree industry standard for measuring permeate flow. The end result is that the DriSteem Hydrotrue RO system does a much better job of keeping up with demand, based on the facility’s actual water temperature.
“They leave it all up to us now, from the city meter, their water goes through our carbon filter and duplex water softener, then straight to the RO system. The water heater is no longer needed,” said Dave Schwaller, Senior Applications Engineer at DriSteem.
